1. Can I just purchase your level IIIA Duponttm Kevlar ® Ballistic BACKPACK SHIELD tm Backpack Insert and put it in my existing backpack? 

Answer - Yes most likely . . . it depends upon the size and shape of the backpack that you have. The patented BPS Duponttm Kevlar ® Bullet proof* Backpack Shield tm is 17" high by 12" wide (and less than 1/2" wide). It will fit most standard High School and University Backpacks that have the arched curve top geometry with a basic semi-rectangular shape. 2. How much does it (the BACKPACK SHIELD tm alone) weigh?

Answer - Because we use the best Duponttm Kevlar ® fabric which is 10 times stronger than steel (thread for thread), being a polymer it is much lighter than steel. It weighs less than most text books, about 1.5 lbs. There are different grades of Duponttm Kevlar ® - Our Aerospace Kevlar fabric is multi-layered, compressed and harded in a proprietary process.

Answer - Absolutely not - As a matter of fact, we not only do not divulge any customer information whatsoever, the only I.D. info on our BackPack Shield tm is a serial number and our website (if desired nothing at all). Should the backpack with our shield ever be lost then found, a good sumaritan can contact us with the serial # detail and we will call you (based upon our purchase records) and discretely co-ordinate any return of your lost property with you calling the shots. There is a $25.00 extra fee for adding a personalized color lazer vinyl decal - photo ( i.e. favorite dog or cat etc.), There is "No Extra Charge" for the Standard color lazer vinyl I.D. label tag. 4. I have also looked at a competitor that offers a level II ballistic resistant backpack product - How do you compare? 

Answer - A level II shield is designed to stop weaker 22 LR hollow point rounds and will not stop alot of 9 mm bullets (can't stop any of the higher velocity 9 mm copper jacketed rounds). A level II ballistic barrier and is also not designed to stop a 44 magnum bullet. Their shield is permanently sewn into the backpack so you, or your kid is stuck with what you pickout at the time ( i.e. butterfly pattern) forever. Our BACKPACK SHIELD tm is level IIIA rated and stops the higher velocity harder (copper jacketed) 9 mm rounds, and higher velocity and hard hitting 44 magnum copper jacket rounds that a level II shield can't.
